An obligatory stop on the road down to Puerto Santiago, where you will find the Archipenque viewpoint, on a bend in the road with a large parking area, cafeteria, shop and a tower from which you can enjoy one of the best panoramic views of the Los Gigantes cliffs and of the coastal town itself, with its marina and tourist settlements.
From this point you can see the vertiginous slopes offered by this area of Tenerife, where the sea has an intense colour, converted into a sanctuary for large marine cetaceans, in the corridor between the islands of La Gomera and Tenerife, to the south of the latter. And also the profile of the island of La Gomera, always present from this side of the island, where the sunsets are an ephemeral work of art that every day surprises with new experiences that invite you not to miss the experience of enjoying one of the spectacular sunsets where the sun, in its flight, puts the island of La Gomera almost at your fingertips. To the right, on the edge of the island, you will see the lighthouse of Punta de Teno rise up with its anachronistic marine flavour of other times.
Practically the entire western slope of Tenerife is a great showcase for observing the horizon at sunset each day, but this spot offers the best conditions for a guaranteed stop to enjoy the best scenery in which the majesty of the Los Gigantes Cliffs is combined with the sun rising behind the silhouette of La Gomera over the Atlantic Ocean.
