The Historical Complex of Taucho is located in the medians of the municipal area at about 900 meters above sea level. in an area that has experienced intense plowing since the 16th century, when the first Castilian settlers began to settle. Cereals, fruit trees and pastures occupied large areas around the village.
The Historical Complex is divided into several groups of buildings, among which the founding nucleus stands out around the Church of the Virgin of Coromoto, of recent construction, which is linked to the migratory processes of the population towards America since this virgin is the patron saint of Venezuela. This agglomeration is located on the left bank of the ravine, on both sides of Virgen de Coromoto Street, alternating traditional one- or two-story buildings, gabled and hipped tile roofs, thick masonry walls and a rather anarchic urban layout. as a result of a random location solely based on the need to occupy the rockiest and most unproductive sectors and free up the largest area intended for agricultural use, in a territory with significant uneven terrain.
In the hamlet of Taucho, the Taucho Ethnographic Days are held periodically, which includes recreational-festive events with the promotion and dissemination of ethnographic wealth and historical, cultural, traditional and environmental values.
