The House-Museum of History of Granadilla de Abona is located in a typical Canarian house dating from the end of 1800, in one of the most stately and architecturally beautiful streets of the historic centre of the historic town of Granadilla de Abona, in the south of Tenerife.


Inaugurated in 2002, the museum houses various collections that take you on a journey through time. In its different rooms you will discover the steps followed by the municipality, its customs, work and its most important history, from the time of the Guanches to the present day. All of this is told chronologically and supported by interesting photographs, images and utensils that were used in the different activities carried out by the people of the municipality. It has a total of eleven rooms, which provide a journey through time on the historical evolution of the municipality, including the room dedicated to the aboriginal burial world, where you can see a reproduction of the different types of burials along with their grave goods, as well as interesting information about the aboriginal culture, agriculture, customs and rituals.


It also recreates the customs, work and historical moments whose chronological account is based on photographs, images and objects. A wide and varied journey through the evolution of this municipality that is complemented by temporary ethnographic and cultural exhibitions.
